Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems and test automation using Python and C/C++.
- Use Pytest and GTest to validate Python and C/C++ functionality and maintain test quality.
- Create new test cases and enhance or refactor existing test suites for reliability and maintainability.
- Debug test failures using logs, stack traces, failure outputs, Python debuggers, and C/C++ debuggers.
- Work within CI/CD pipelines to enable test execution, test gating, and validation.
- Contribute code across multiple projects and feature areas while maintaining consistent quality standards.
- Drive architectural discussions, influence technical decisions, review code, and enforce best practices.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical requirements and delivery plans.
- Apply prompt engineering and open-source AI tools to generate or refine test scenarios.
Requirements
- 4 to 10 years of relevant experience designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade software systems using Python.
- Expert proficiency with Pytest and C/C++ frameworks.
- Experience understanding and debugging test failures, with automation serving as a supporting capability.
- Proficiency with Python debuggers such as pdb, VSCode debugger, or PyCharm debugger.
- Proficiency with C/C++ debuggers such as GDB or IDE-based debuggers including CLion and VSCode.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience contributing across multiple projects, driving architecture discussions, reviewing code, and mentoring engineers.
- Familiarity with generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI-driven testing tools.
- Excellent system-design, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
