Base Salary

$240k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

Represent Adaptive with clients and build long-term trusted client and team relationships.
Contribute code to the most challenging aspects of client deliveries.
Define performant and resilient architectures and detailed designs informed by domain and client needs.
Advocate technical decisions and software development best practices to teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Ensure team output quality and facilitate adoption of engineering standards.
Advocate testing approaches, including behaviour-driven testing.
Mentor and support team members through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
Lead adherence to software development lifecycle processes.
Work with leadership to ensure delivery meets time, budget, and other constraints.
Escalate and articulate risks to team members, management, and clients.

Significant professional experience developing highly performant, low-latency Java software within capital markets.
Experience using Aeron in a high-performance capital markets or digital assets environment.
Experience with relevant data structures, including sets, maps, and queues.
Experience building solutions for order management systems, execution management systems, smart order routing, trading venues and exchanges, matching engines, algo containers, risk management, or FIX gateways.
Experience working in an Agile environment and following a mature software development lifecycle.
Experience with distributed systems, consensus algorithms, event-driven architecture, and replicated state machines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
Experience mentoring and supporting team members.
Ability to build strong relationships, think strategically, and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to lead technical work and uphold quality standards in a collaborative team environment.
