Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and strategies covering software functionality, performance, user experience, and quality standards.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Test data warehouse and big data applications, including Spark workloads and JSON, Parquet, and CSV data formats.
- Analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to acceptance criteria.
- Perform root-cause analysis, document defects, and work with developers to resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and peers, participate in code reviews, and promote code quality.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
- Strong software testing experience with data warehouse and big data applications.
- Experience with Spark and data formats including JSON, Parquet, and CSV.
- Experience developing Jupyter Notebooks using Scala-Spark or PySpark.
- Exposure to AWS Cloud Services.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data validation techniques, and data analysis.
- Proficiency writing complex SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking using JIRA.
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Experience with Unix or shell scripting or Python is valued.
- Investment banking domain experience is valued.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
