Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, modify, test, debug, document, and maintain enterprise risk applications.
- Build Java applications using Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA.
- Design and build relational database systems using Oracle and PostgreSQL, including Oracle PL/SQL programming.
- Design and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Build REST service interfaces and data-grid-centric user interfaces with React.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from analysis through production support.
- Define and evolve component architecture and contribute to broader architectural decisions.
- Use test-driven development, behavior-driven development, continuous integration, refactoring, and clean-code practices.
- Help develop and maintain an automated continuous delivery pipeline.
- Provide third-line production support and participate in on-call coverage.
- Collaborate with business partners, users, analysts, developers, testers, and cross-functional agile delivery teams.
Requirements
- Typically requires 10-15 years of applicable experience.
- Deep knowledge of at least one modern programming language and understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
- Ideally, practical experience with Java.
- Practical experience with test-driven development, refactoring, and continuous integration.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Required experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming, SQL, and relational databases.
- Experience working in an agile team using Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
- Functional Analysis experience is highly desirable.
- Behavior-driven development experience, particularly for collaborative requirements definition and living documentation, is desirable.
- Exposure to Hadoop technologies or business intelligence tools is advantageous.
- Exposure to NoSQL, document databases, graph databases, Hadoop/HDFS, streaming, and messaging is advantageous.
- Exposure to Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and microservices architecture is advantageous.
