Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable backend services using TypeScript and AWS serverless technologies, including event-driven architectures.
- Own services through deployment and production operation, including monitoring, on-call participation, and reliability and performance improvements.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and support safe, continuous delivery practices.
- Design, document, version, and maintain reliable RESTful APIs in collaboration with consuming teams.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests as part of normal development.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, technical design, and documentation of engineering decisions.
- Use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and research while validating their outputs.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience in a backend-focused environment.
- Strong backend fundamentals, including request lifecycles, data persistence, error handling, and maintainable code development.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, SQL databases, and practical REST API design.
- Understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
- Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS, with knowledge of managed services, scalability, and infrastructure ownership.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience shipping safely to production.
- Familiarity with declarative infrastructure as code concepts; AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar experience is welcomed.
- Ability to use AI tools, apply prompt engineering basics, and critically evaluate AI outputs.
- Hands-on AWS serverless experience with Lambda, S3, SQS, or DynamoDB is a plus.
- Familiarity with EventBridge or similar event buses, pub/sub, and message-routing platforms is a plus.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, SCIM, OIDC, multi-tenant SaaS services, MCP, or AI-integrated backend services is a plus.
