Responsibilities
- Act as the technical and delivery interlock for assigned AI opportunities from intake through solution approval, contracting, and handover.
- Lead client discovery and translate business problems, requirements, data landscapes, and outcomes into actionable technical and delivery requirements.
- Shape end-to-end AI architectures across application, model, data, integration, infrastructure, and security domains.
- Evaluate AI models, cloud services, orchestration frameworks, and third-party technologies for cost, performance, scalability, security, and delivery complexity.
- Define secure integration, functional and non-functional requirements, data governance, and responsible AI requirements.
- Develop and review proposals, statements of work, scope, deliverables, milestones, assumptions, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and client responsibilities.
- Validate estimates, pricing, resource models, third-party costs, contribution, margin, contingency, and delivery plans.
- Lead deal assurance and governance, identifying technical, data, security, privacy, legal, commercial, and delivery risks.
- Develop or coordinate prototypes and proofs of concept to validate model performance, data, integration, security, scalability, latency, and cost assumptions.
- Lead transition and handover to delivery while maintaining the approved architecture, scope, commercial baseline, resource plan, risks, and client commitments.
- Create reusable AI architectures, delivery patterns, prototypes, estimation models, and proposal assets while coaching regional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, business, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, technical consulting, pre-sales, or delivery while engaging with senior clients.
- Business-level Japanese language ability at minimum JLPT N2 or native proficiency.
- Business-level English language ability.
- Advanced enterprise solution architecture knowledge across application, integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.
- Strong understanding of AI, generative AI, and agentic AI patterns, including model selection and evaluation, RAG, prompting, grounding, data pipelines, APIs, and vector databases.
- Experience designing or validating enterprise AI and generative AI solutions, including prototypes and enterprise-platform or data integrations.
- Experience with major cloud platforms and their AI, data, integration, and security services.
- Experience defining delivery scope, work breakdown structures, resource models, estimates, delivery plans, commercial assumptions, statements of work, and technical or delivery risk controls.
- Understanding of software engineering, DevOps, MLOps, LLMOps, security, privacy, compliance, data governance, and responsible AI.
- Strong client-facing consulting, communication, stakeholder-management, analytical, commercial, and decision-making skills.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform cloud or AI certification is preferred.
- TOGAF or other enterprise or solution architecture certification is advantageous; AI, security, privacy, agile, project, or service-management certifications are beneficial.
- Experience with regulated environments or AI managed services, MLOps, and LLMOps is advantageous.
