Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve server-side applications and APIs.
- Lead complex integrations with external partners, especially Electronic Health Record systems.
- Improve backend architecture and developer experience.
- Guide architectural discussions and influence long-term technical decisions.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning, Product, and Front-End teams on end-to-end features.
- Mentor junior engineers and help scale the engineering culture.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in computer science or a related discipline.
- Strong senior-level experience in back-end engineering, ideally in fast-paced, production-critical environments.
- Proficiency in one or more widely used backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python.
- Deep experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with GraphQL and OpenAPI is a plus.
- Ability to drive architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- High standards for clean, maintainable, high-quality software.
- Clear communication in English.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, security/compliance, or healthcare data standards such as FHIR is a bonus.
