Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deploy, operate, and maintain scalable cloud-based services, distributed data platforms, data pipelines, and platform capabilities.
- Own service and data-product quality, reliability, performance, testing strategy, observability, and operational excellence.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while evaluating trade-offs, risks, and data-driven insights.
- Own moderately complex projects end-to-end from design through production support.
- Participate in system design and architectural decisions across data products, platform services, and supporting infrastructure.
- Contribute to engineering standards, data engineering patterns, team processes, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-assisted tooling for code, testing, observability, and workflow improvements while maintaining engineering quality, security, and maintainability.
- Create project, design, and system architecture documentation.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Product, and other stakeholders to build trusted data products.
- Provide technical leadership through collaboration, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and milestone communication.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Significant experience designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud-based services, distributed data platforms, and microservices.
- Extensive experience with multiple programming languages, including languages such as Go, Java, Python, C#, and Rust.
- Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, large-scale data pipelines, and distributed data processing systems.
- Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills and strong understanding of component-level and application-level design patterns.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and operational telemetry platforms such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and automated testing practices.
- Ability to handle ambiguous and complex requirements and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Preferred experience with Go and Python, workflow orchestration using Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Dagster, or similar platforms, and containers or orchestrators such as Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Iceberg, Delta Lake, Apache Hudi, or similar data lake or lakehouse technologies is preferred.
- Experience supporting AI/ML data pipelines or feature engineering workflows and evaluating AI/ML solutions pragmatically is preferred.
- Experience with agile methodologies and rapid iteration cycles is preferred.
