Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, scalable, responsive software for Box’s Notes and Canvas products.
- Build primarily front-end functionality with React.js and contribute to back-end services using Node.js.
- Design and implement APIs and services using sound system design and data modeling practices.
- Create technical documentation, reusable patterns, and examples for engineering teams.
- Maintain and support legacy codebases and contribute to engineering standards across product teams.
- Use AI tools for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, share knowledge, and represent Box Poland’s engineering excellence.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to and triage issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript with experience in a modern front-end framework such as React.
- Strong HTML and CSS knowledge, including responsive user interfaces, state management, accessibility, performance, and security basics.
- Some back-end coding experience with Node.js, with proficiency considered advantageous.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and services, with a solid understanding of system design and data modeling.
- Ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in English.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services, web sockets, real-time applications, and cross-platform solutions.
