Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and maintain video features on Qualcomm SoCs.
- Develop and support software solutions for multicore ARM/CPU and hypervisor-based systems.
- Debug end-to-end use cases and secure video playback issues.
- Optimize power and performance KPIs for automotive, CarPlay, and Android Auto requirements and conformance certifications.
- Lead technical feature delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in multimedia domains such as video, display, graphics, or camera technologies.
- Experience with H264, H265, VP9, HEVC, and AV1 video codecs.
- Expertise with GStreamer, Codec2, V4L2, the Android multimedia framework, FFmpeg, secure video playback, and DRM.
- Experience designing and developing embedded Linux software for multicore ARM/CPU systems, with strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Hands-on Linux kernel programming, Linux memory management, and Linux device-driver experience.
- Strong kernel and userspace debugging skills, including JTAG or ICE debugger experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ECE, computer science, information systems, or a related field with 8+ or 4+ years of relevant experience; equivalent master’s or PhD paths are also listed.
- At least 6 years of programming-language experience under one qualification path, or at least 2 years under another, including C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 1 year of debugging-technique experience under the listed Software Applications Engineering qualification path.
- Strong communication skills and a self-driven, motivated approach.
