Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services in Go.
- Use AI-assisted workflows to plan, implement, test, debug, document, and prepare review-ready merge requests.
- Validate AI-generated solutions for correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and engineering-standard alignment.
- Lead AI-enabled initiatives that improve developer productivity and delivery quality.
- Develop architectures for scale and performance and participate in code and design reviews.
- Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, tuning, and optimization for large-scale services.
- Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and engineering teams on feature specifications, scaling, and root-cause investigations.
- Diagnose distributed-systems problems and resolve production incidents during on-call rotations.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to other engineers.
- Own product and technical problems end to end while monitoring agreed success metrics.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, preferably with distributed systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
- Experience operating large-scale web services and understanding of systems internals and networking.
- Strong understanding of system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, C++, Java, Scala, Rust, Python, Ruby, Node.js, or C#, with willingness to work with Go.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering workflows to turn specifications into review-ready merge requests.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, security, maintainability, and engineering-standard alignment.
- Ability to identify and lead AI-enabled technical initiatives with measurable impact across one or more teams.
