Responsibilities
- Architect shared Java API libraries, TypeScript Playwright infrastructure, multi-repository boundaries, and cross-product test frameworks.
- Define and govern Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, CI/CD, parallel execution, retry, test-data, and release-engineering strategies.
- Own the QE Standards Platform, including coding standards, AI-powered skills, setup automation, governance, and enforcement mechanisms.
- Lead test reporting, failure triage, observability, Jira automation, trend analysis, and infrastructure alerting across the QA ecosystem.
- Drive the Selenium-to-Playwright migration, framework and infrastructure evaluations, versioning strategy, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Define quality gates, testability requirements, release criteria, project structures, and cross-team QA processes.
- Represent QA in engineering architecture discussions and mentor P3 engineers toward architectural leadership.
Requirements
- The posting requires P4-level technical authority and ownership of organization-wide Quality Engineering platforms, architecture, standards, and strategy.
- Strong Java expertise for shared library, API client, framework, release, dependency, token-management, and coding-standard architecture is required.
- Strong TypeScript and Playwright expertise for shared automation packages, fixture composition, configuration, repository architecture, and migration strategy is required.
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG, Spring, GraphQL, Maven, npm, CI/CD systems, reporting platforms, cloud or device-grid infrastructure, and test automation architecture is required.
- Experience designing scalable test strategies across multiple products, clients, regions, locales, devices, account states, and parallel execution environments is required.
- Experience with AI-assisted QA workflows, Claude Code, MCP integrations, automated failure analysis, and governance of AI-generated output is expected.
- The role requires cross-team technical leadership, standards governance, release-quality decision-making, mentoring, and organizational process design.
