Base Salary
$150k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement automation and validation strategies that improve release integrity and deployment confidence.
- Build quality health metrics and dashboards covering product stability, release readiness, and test effectiveness.
- Develop internal tools and developer utilities that improve testability, observability, and developer experience.
- Partner across engineering, infrastructure, product, SRE, Customer Relations, and Quality Engineering on system-level quality improvements.
- Use data and experimentation to refine quality practices and prioritize impactful improvements.
- Develop quality measures aligned with the organization’s quality strategy, with emphasis on monitoring and observability.
Requirements
- Understand modern quality engineering practices and apply them pragmatically.
- Have strong technical foundations in release management, automation frameworks, and CI/CD systems.
- Have 2+ years of experience building and maintaining integration and end-to-end test automation for complex applications using languages such as C++, C#, GDScript, or Python.
- Demonstrate experience with shift-left quality practices that improve code quality, deployment confidence, and developer velocity.
- Have hands-on experience with performance, resilience, and security testing, including integrating checks into CI/CD and observability systems.
- Have experience building internal tools or developer utilities that improve testability, observability, and release integrity.
- Understand API quality, including contract validation and dependency testing in distributed systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to promote quality ownership and best practices across teams.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions, visual regression testing, k6, JMeter, Artillery, distributed-system fault injection, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Kibana, or Prometheus.
