Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services supporting sign-up, KYB/KYC flows, document collection, verification orchestration, and account activation.
- Contribute to intuitive and responsive frontend interfaces that simplify compliance processes for customers.
- Own integrations with identity verification, document validation, and business data providers through resilient internal APIs.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Risk, and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements and activation goals into product experiences.
- Apply AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve team workflows.
- Elevate engineering quality through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong Java and Spring ecosystem experience, including Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch, with willingness to work across the frontend using React; strong React engineers willing to deepen backend expertise are also considered.
- Experience architecting scalable distributed systems and microservices for financial products.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis for transactional and caching needs.
- Experience building and securing APIs and third-party integrations, including asynchronous and event-driven patterns with Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and modern development tooling.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and raising engineering quality through reviews, pairing, and best practices.
- English proficiency for leading technical discussions across geographies.
- High autonomy, ownership, and active daily use of AI tools for coding, debugging, and automation.
