Base Salary

$164k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

Become the expert on the team’s business and technical domains.
Lead the planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects.
Collaborate with partners, product managers, designers, and engineers to solve problems and improve technology.
Implement step-wise technical migrations of existing services and applications.
Own small- to medium-sized features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion with limited guidance.
Work independently across the codebase while following code-owner guidance and applicable laws and regulations.

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasingly impactful accomplishments.
Experience proposing, experimenting with, and iterating on technologies and data structures.
Experience making technical contributions and building fault-tolerant, scalable software systems.
Solid understanding of the practical application of computer science concepts.
Ability to consistently write stable, correct, modular, adaptable, and maintainable code with limited oversight.

Base pay is $163,944–$215,176 per year, with employee benefits, unlimited vacation, equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.
Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements.
Hybrid schedule based in Oscar’s New York City office, requiring three days of in-office work per week; Thursdays are required and the other two days are flexible.
