Responsibilities
- Apply trading domain knowledge, financial quantitative expertise, and technical skills to create solutions connecting design, strategy, and engineering.
- Participate in the full software development process, including requirements and design reviews, during platform-wide asset-class expansion.
- Shape and optimize a technology stack using AWS backend services to build robust, scalable applications.
- Create developer-focused automation that supports scalable, high-quality applications.
- Advocate pragmatic design and development best practices.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire product engineering teams delivering high-performing, secure enterprise applications.
- Own complex problems, develop solutions, and communicate clearly in a collaborative engineering environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a history of architecting and designing new products and technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge of Java or Kotlin, with Kotlin preferred, or equivalent expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience applying design patterns and OOAD/SOLID principles and writing automated unit tests.
- Ability to independently navigate complex codebases, adopt new technologies, solve technical challenges, and communicate effectively.
- U.S. work authorization without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Bonus: experience engineering buy-side order management systems, working knowledge of complex financial instruments and valuations, or a mathematics background.
