Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and operation of API and full-stack solutions for Stays and Packages.
- Architect scalable and resilient systems for booking flows and checkout journeys.
- Define best practices for Scala-based distributed systems to support global scale.
- Mentor senior engineers and conduct design reviews to elevate engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust foundational logic.
Requirements
- Proven experience in distributed system development, particularly in Scala.
- Strong product thinking with a focus on customer experience.
- Ability to navigate and improve complex codebases effectively.
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures and a mindset prioritizing configuration over customization.
- Excellent documentation and asynchronous communication skills.
