
Senior Associate, Cloud Security Engineer

Base Salary
$115k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support security measures for third-party, open-source, and native cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
- Develop and maintain policy-as-code and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, aligned with CIS and NIST 800-53 frameworks.
- Implement and use CSPM tools including Wiz and Microsoft Defender for Cloud to assess, monitor, and enforce security controls.
- Collaborate with security champions across business units and provide guidance for their security needs.
- Contribute to the cloud security roadmap and conduct cloud configuration assessments, audits, and reviews.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working in public cloud as an engineer or developer.
- At least 5 years of experience as an engineer, developer, or architect in information technology, preferably cybersecurity.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code expertise using Terraform.
- Proficiency in Python or familiarity with Python-based DevOps tooling and automation frameworks.
- Expertise with Git-based version control and CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions and GitHub Package Repository.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles, cloud-native architectures, and integrating security into development workflows.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with privileged access management and identity systems such as Azure Entra, Okta, or Ping is a plus.
- Hands-on proficiency with integrated testing tools and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field, and certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP.
