Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support new or revised enterprise application systems and programs.
- Participate in feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, model development, and application development activities.
- Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and evaluate business usage to ensure system functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install systems and assist with customer exposure systems.
- Define operating standards and processes and ensure essential procedures are followed.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, control, and operational risks appropriately.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-level applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on proficiency with messaging systems such as Kafka and MQ and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Lightspeed for build management, and deploying applications on OpenShift.
- Experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot and interest in applying AI to improve the software development lifecycle are strong pluses.
