Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and provide production support for complex online and batch mainframe payment applications.
- Create end-to-end technical solutions aligned with engineering, architectural, regulatory, operational, and security standards.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases and contribute to unit, integration, SIT, BAT, and PAT testing.
- Provide technical support during testing, including troubleshooting, design clarification, result validation, and defect resolution.
- Participate in defect tracking, triage, root cause analysis, incident investigation, and scheduled on-call rotations.
- Lead complex technical initiatives, assess risks involving system changes and integrations, and support continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor junior developers and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in Technology.
- At least 5 years of experience working with mainframe MVS, TSO, COBOL, JCL, Endevor, CA-7, MQ, DB2, and IMS DB/DC.
- Extensive hands-on mainframe application development experience covering online and batch processing in production environments.
- Experience with application production support, incident analysis, root cause investigation, defect resolution, and on-call rotations.
- Advanced understanding of business processes, technical environments, standards, controls, and operating procedures.
- Ability to operate as a senior or lead developer and trusted subject matter expert on complex technical issues.
- Experience advising clients, partners, and project teams across research, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, coaching, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of wire payments, SWIFT MT messages, and SWIFT ISO MX messages is an asset.
