
AI Security and Governance Architect - Lead Software Security Architect

Responsibilities
- Define and implement the organization’s AI security and governance framework using recognized AI risk and regulatory standards.
- Develop and enforce AI governance policies aligned with risk appetite, ethical standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate AI risks including bias, adversarial attacks, data leakage, model inversion, and poisoning.
- Establish secure ML lifecycle practices covering data sanitization, model hardening, explainability, monitoring, and model drift.
- Maintain threat models and lead security reviews of software and AI/ML architectures.
- Assess and prioritize remediation of vulnerabilities in internal and third-party AI components.
- Design AI auditing, monitoring, incident response, and governance automation programs.
- Develop AI-specific incident response playbooks and lead investigations into AI security or ethics failures.
- Deliver education and mentoring on secure AI, software development, governance, and security-by-design practices.
- Advise leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on AI risks, trends, and regulatory impacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive security architecture experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML system security, governance, or compliance.
- Strong understanding of secure development, cloud security, and compliance frameworks including SOC 2, GDPR, and NIST.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML pipelines, including data preparation, model deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and AI governance tools.
- Familiarity with AI ethics, fairness, and bias mitigation techniques.
- Ability to communicate technical AI risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 23894, and EU AI Act classifications.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, or Java is preferred.
- Preferred experience developing policies and participating in cross-functional AI governance committees.
- Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, or AI Governance/Responsible AI credentials are preferred.
