Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices patterns.
- Design robust REST APIs and SOAP/Web Services with attention to security, consistency, and governance.
- Modernize and decompose monolithic applications.
- Develop event-driven and asynchronous systems using Pub/Sub, Kafka, or equivalent platforms.
- Work with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native distributed systems.
- Apply system design, performance engineering, debugging, and observability practices.
- Provide technical leadership and influence across engineering efforts.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices design.
- Experience modernizing or decomposing monolithic applications.
- Strong experience with GCP, cloud-native patterns, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in REST APIs, web services, and microservices governance.
- Strong understanding of Pub/Sub, Kafka, event-driven systems, and asynchronous design.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong system design, performance engineering, and deep debugging skills.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and OpenTelemetry.
- Excellent communication, influence, and technical leadership skills.
- Airline pricing domain knowledge is preferred.
- Experience building or integrating LLM-based agents is preferred.
