Responsibilities
- Own and develop critical post-trade domains including reconciliation, settlement, booking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Data teams to understand workflows and requirements.
- Design and build scalable backend services and data pipelines.
- Improve automation, data quality, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the target architecture and technical roadmap of the post-trade platform.
- Ensure observability, reliability, and data correctness across systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building distributed backend systems using Java or C++, with exposure to Python.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka.
- Hands-on experience building data-intensive systems, ETL pipelines, and analytical data solutions.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Ability to own complex technical domains from design through production support.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with post-trade workflows such as reconciliation, settlement, booking, or regulatory reporting.
- Preferred background in financial services, proprietary trading, or market making.
- Preferred experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Airflow, Spark, Flink, or similar technologies.
- Preferred knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
