Responsibilities
- Design, develop, contribute to architecture decisions for, and unit test backend features, cloud applications, and prototypes.
- Use Java, Spring, SQL, web services, Python, and related technologies to support the OneTrust platform.
- Maintain at least 80% code coverage or meet revised team standards.
- Participate in planning, backlog grooming, sprint execution, system architecture, and component design discussions.
- Identify and fix defects early, reduce module or product defect counts, and deliver critical and high-priority issues according to SLA.
- Conduct peer code reviews and support development, exploratory, AI, and automated testing practices.
- Mentor junior developers, grow technical skills across the team, and create development opportunities.
- Help build high-performing teams and support completion of committed sprint stories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical or business field.
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering or development experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with object-oriented design, Java/J2EE, design patterns, Spring MVC, SQL, and web services.
- Experience with Elasticsearch and data-streaming tools such as Kafka.
- Understanding of REST, OAuth, JSON, service-oriented architecture standards, and web services.
- Competence with Python and Bash scripting, plus moderate experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud services or providers including Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS.
- Recent development experience with Drupal, Ember, Angular, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with relational and document databases, continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins, and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with UX, product managers or owners, and other developers while mentoring junior developers.
