Responsibilities
- Design scalable, reliable, maintainable systems and evaluate tradeoffs involving performance, complexity, cost, and maintainability.
- Develop, test, and maintain full-stack software across frontend, backend, APIs, services, and data layers.
- Build well-tested software using unit, integration, end-to-end, and other appropriate testing approaches.
- Profile, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application and system performance.
- Contribute to deployment pipelines, monitoring, observability, release management, and production operations.
- Apply secure development practices and consider security, privacy, and compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design and consume APIs and work with relational, document, and other data stores.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and automation for implementation, debugging, testing, documentation, research, and technical problem solving.
- Own features and technical projects from discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Mentor engineers, conduct constructive code reviews, document technical decisions, and contribute to architecture and engineering direction.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product, Design, QA, and business partners to translate needs into technical solutions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, scalability constraints, technical debt, and opportunities to improve engineering practices and developer workflows.
Requirements
- Proven full-stack expertise delivering high-quality backend and frontend solutions.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, AWS, Next.js, Node.js, C#/.NET, Go, and Postgres, or the ability to quickly learn new languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong computer science foundations in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, parallelism, asynchronous programming, networking, and system design.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and developer efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems and own features or projects through design, development, deployment, and production support.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical judgment, and mentoring skills.
- Prior experience in fintech, lending, or consumer financial products is preferred but not required.
