Responsibilities

  • Define the technical vision and architecture for large-scale supply chain data platforms on AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
  • Lead architecture and design decisions across data products and development teams, balancing scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability, delivery speed, and cost.
  • Provide technical leadership across discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, and operational support for big data and AI/ML workloads.
  • Mentor data engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers while raising engineering standards across the organization.
  • Lead or coordinate multiple development teams, set priorities, manage dependencies, and establish delivery rhythms when needed.
  • Partner with product, operations, architecture, platform, and supply chain stakeholders to create technical roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Champion cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps automation, observability, reliability engineering, data governance, and high-quality software delivery.
  • Set standards for AI-assisted engineering, including appropriate review, security, and code-quality expectations.
  • Evaluate architectures, tooling, and emerging technologies through experiments and prototypes and convert successful approaches into standards.
  • Provide senior leadership with visibility into technical direction, delivery health, risks, tradeoffs, and key decisions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years designing and delivering complex enterprise data and software solutions, including large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • 5+ years of deep experience with cloud-native data architecture on AWS, Databricks, and Azure, distributed systems, modern integration patterns, and scalable platform design.
  • 5+ years delivering data solutions using Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS Redshift, streaming frameworks, and modern DevOps and platform-engineering practices.
  • Expertise in data architecture, distributed data processing, domain-driven design, scalable data platforms, streaming and event-driven systems, data governance, security, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions involving data preparation, model integration, inference workflows, and automation use cases.
  • Familiarity with AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker and Bedrock.
  • Experience setting technical direction, influencing across multiple teams, mentoring senior engineers and technical leads, and coordinating complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience aligning roadmaps, managing dependencies, driving execution, and leading in cross-functional engineering and operations models.
  • Ability to balance technical excellence, delivery outcomes, AI-enabled engineering, quality, security, and cost optimization.
  • Preferred qualifications include supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment platform experience; AWS or Databricks certifications; SAFe or other agile certifications; globally distributed team experience; and experience with LLMs, AI agents, or AI-assisted development platforms.
