Base Salary
$113k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the SDET team and mentor junior SDETs.
- Design, develop, maintain, and review scalable test automation frameworks and architectures.
- Collaborate with development, quality engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to integrate testing into development and create comprehensive test plans.
- Write and oversee unit, integration, functional, performance, API, GUI, end-to-end, and mobile tests.
- Execute and oversee test cases, analyze results, and provide insights to improve product quality.
- Maintain automation scripts and run test suites across release-cycle checkpoints.
- Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives to keep testing frameworks and technologies current.
- Conduct training sessions and foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the testing team.
- Investigate failures in integrated environments, communicate issues and progress, and support long-running deployments when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or business field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience as a developer, automation engineer, or SDET.
- 8+ years of coding experience in Java with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and Core Java principles.
- 4+ years of experience with Test-Driven Development or Behavior-Driven Development using Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG.
- 3+ years of experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps and creating Java or Groovy test pipelines.
- 4+ years of experience with Selenium or Cypress for GUI and end-to-end application testing.
- 4+ years of experience with REST Assured or similar API automation tools such as Postman.
- 4+ years of experience in a highly automated CI/CD environment.
- 4+ years of experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting meaningful logs with Splunk, Dynatrace, or Coralogix.
- 3+ years of experience in a cloud environment, preferably Azure, including Azure Gateways, Redis, Storage, virtual machines, and Kubernetes clusters.
- 3+ years of experience testing native mobile applications and mobile websites with Appium on real devices and simulators, using providers such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
- 4+ years of experience working with geographically distributed teams in the United States, Canada, and India.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, initiative, independence, mentoring, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred experience includes AI/ML testing, application performance analysis, Docker or Kubernetes test architecture, and Kubernetes test-grid and autoscaling patterns.
