Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support a greenfield Data and Processing Platform and its supporting software products.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Lead, internal developers, energy system modellers, client-facing energy experts, and business users to build shared capabilities.
- Build quality, reliability, and observability into products from inception.
- Design and implement CI/CD automation flows and improve engineering processes and developer experience.
- Participate in all stages of the agile development lifecycle, from refinement through delivery, and support continuous team improvement.
Requirements
- Practical experience working as a senior engineer in high-performing engineering teams.
- Advanced working knowledge of a general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
- Understanding of domain modelling and application programming.
- Working knowledge of data management technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, or Databricks.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience across the technology stack with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Blazor and/or backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Spring Boot, or .NET.
- Experience building and supporting different architectural approaches and justifying technology and architecture choices.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Ability to solve complex problems and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
