Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, and optimize compilers for domain-specific programming languages.
- Collaborate with hardware design teams and external partners to ensure compatibility and optimization.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex issues in software tools and programming languages.
- Participate in language and standards groups and contribute to industry advancements.
- Validate compiler functionality for performance, robustness, and reliability.
- Enhance existing compiler tools to meet evolving technical requirements.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus 3 or more years of professional compiler-development experience; or a master's degree plus 2 or more years; or a PhD in a relevant field with no prior professional experience required.
- Proficiency in developing and debugging compilers or related software tools.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of heterogeneous software programming and programming-language principles.
- Familiarity with modern software-development methodologies and toolchains.
- Ability to collaborate with hardware design teams and external partners.
- Experience contributing to open-source compiler projects or language standards groups is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical-presentation skills are preferred.
