Base Salary
$65k - $117k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications using object-oriented or functional programming practices.
- Build and consume APIs using Flask, FastAPI, Django, or comparable Python web frameworks.
- Apply API authentication, authorization, versioning, error handling, and documentation principles using OAuth or JSON Web Tokens.
- Develop event-driven and asynchronous solutions using Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Create efficient SQL queries and data solutions using BigQuery or comparable large-scale SQL databases.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to optimize application performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, and use distributed version control.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product partners, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions.
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of software development experience with strong Python proficiency.
- Experience applying object-oriented or functional programming concepts to production applications.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Flask, FastAPI, Django, or a comparable Python web framework.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth, JSON Web Tokens, authorization, authentication, and API versioning.
- Experience with SQL databases and writing efficient queries.
- Proficiency with Git or another distributed version control system.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with Google Cloud Pub/Sub, BigQuery or comparable large-scale analytics platforms, relational and NoSQL databases, and API reliability, scalability, security, or performance improvements is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
