Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and improve high-quality software solutions using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized banking applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq Script.
- Analyze business requirements and devise software solutions that address business problems and opportunities.
- Support mission-critical complex systems in a large IT organization, including systems with substantial batch-processing requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other functions to define requirements and ensure integration with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement effective unit-testing practices.
- Apply secure coding practices, manage technology-related risks, and strengthen controls and governance.
- Provide technical advice, influence stakeholders, guide team members, and potentially set objectives and coach employees.
- Contribute to policies, procedures, technology communities, and financial-services IT delivery programs.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of application development experience, including at least 5 years of Oracle PL/SQL experience in banking applications or products.
- Experience with Avaloq or another core banking solution such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Experience supporting mission-critical complex systems in a large IT organization and working in a support environment with heavy batch processing.
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Avaloq Script, UNIX, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of banking products and the software development lifecycle.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial-services industry and banking applications, including several modules such as securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, or payments.
- Good-to-have knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile.
- Leadership experience in Private Banking IT delivery programs is highly valued.
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Ability to demonstrate skills in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical areas.
