
Software Engineer - Java Springboot with Gen AI

- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy low- to moderately complex software engineering projects.
- Build highly scalable platforms supporting customer account ledger and transaction processing systems.
- Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven architectures, and real-time data processing technologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, availability, monitoring, and operational performance.
- Analyze technical challenges, research alternatives, present recommendations, and escalate issues when needed to meet service level agreements.
- Collaborate with technology colleagues, internal partners, engineering teams, business teams, and stakeholders.
- Follow security, compliance, risk management, and governance requirements.
- Use modern engineering practices, cloud-native technologies, and AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- At least 1 year of experience with multithreading and distributed caching technologies.
- Experience building scalable event-driven and real-time data processing solutions with technologies such as Kafka and Flink.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms and deployment pipelines such as EPLX or Harness.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based container platforms such as OpenShift.
- Experience designing and developing microservices-based applications and applying software design patterns.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, and document databases such as MongoDB.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with test automation using Karate and observability or monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Scala, and SQL.
- Experience in banking or financial services is preferred, while low-latency systems and multicast messaging experience are desirable.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments is preferred.
