Responsibilities
- Own deployment architecture discussions and execution across customer environments, including VPC configuration, permissions, networking, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage initial deployments, upgrades, scaling, and incident support for critical customers.
- Develop and maintain deployment runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure the platform is deployable and operable across diverse customer requirements.
- Work with customer platform engineering, security, and DevOps teams to address infrastructure constraints and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success during pre-sales and onboarding to scope infrastructure requirements and create deployment plans.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or solutions architecture roles, with significant customer-facing deployment experience.
- Deep experience with AWS services, Terraform, container orchestration, and cloud networking including VPCs, IAM, DNS, and load balancing.
- Experience managing deployments in customer-owned cloud environments and navigating security reviews, compliance requirements, and change-management processes.
- Ability to work with enterprise stakeholders, including platform engineers and CISOs, and translate infrastructure discussions into deployment plans.
- Strong operational understanding of upgrades, rollbacks, monitoring, and failure modes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience with Go services, GraphQL APIs, or production LLM infrastructure.
- Preferred familiarity with observability and incident management in distributed systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Preferred experience designing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, or infrastructure self-service tooling for enterprise customers.
- Preferred experience building deployment operations, playbooks, and tooling at an early-stage company.
