Responsibilities
- Refactor and optimize applications for improved performance and scalability.
- Analyze and optimize network utilization for efficient data transfer.
- Design and implement low-latency solutions, internal APIs, and protocols.
- Conduct unit testing and ensure code quality and reliability.
- Respond to production issues and provide timely remediation.
- Use AI resources to enhance knowledge and streamline workflow.
- Stay current with low-latency application development trends and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in low-latency application development using modern C++.
- Expertise in cache coherency, core isolation, memory management, and data structure optimization.
- Strong understanding of multithreaded application design and lock-free queues.
- Working knowledge of TCP and UDP protocols and experience measuring latency and throughput.
- Experience designing internal APIs and protocols and resolving production issues.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in software development.
- Knowledge of exchange-related applications and protocols such as FIX is an asset.
- Experience with Solarflare hardware configuration and API is desirable.
- Proficiency with Git/GitLab, Wireshark, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
