Base Salary
$146k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Break larger engineering projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Build tools and systems that streamline batch development and testing and improve reliability of critical batch workloads.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support artifact availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Write clear, tested, and extensible code across multiple software components; navigate large codebases, debug code, and conduct code reviews.
- Participate in interview processes and team growth and development activities.
Requirements
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions spanning multiple software components.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
