Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver long-term-impact software within existing requirements and system architecture.
- Maintain the existing technology stack and debug and fix issues.
- Build, analyze, and optimize backend services primarily in Python and Go.
- Contribute to React-based user interfaces and reusable front-end components.
- Collaborate with product management, architects, user experience, documentation, and engineering teams.
- Develop understanding of existing code and make sound improvements with guidance when needed.
- Contribute to testing, observability, operational excellence, and the engineering culture.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Python and/or Go, or another modern programming language, with willingness to develop further in Python and Go.
- Strong motivation to learn, improve technical skills, and grow as a software engineer.
- Hands-on experience with React or another modern front-end framework is beneficial.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, unit, functional, and integration testing.
- Problem-solving, collaboration, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a nice-to-have qualification.
- Familiarity with Docker is a plus.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and interest in API design choices is beneficial.
