Responsibilities
- Build tools and develop new features for Akamai’s distributed software-defined networking software.
- Develop tests, test automation, testing frameworks, and performance benchmarks.
- Design reliable, high-quality, usable software for an infinitely scalable deployed network.
- Create reusable code and libraries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on communication and code development.
- Create developer documentation for tools when applicable.
Requirements
- Experience writing code in Java.
- Working knowledge of frameworks such as Spring.
- Experience with other programming languages such as Go, Python, or optionally C.
- Understanding of IP addressing, IP routing, commonly used protocols, and networking equipment.
