Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and maintain reliable, scalable Android applications for travelers and partners.
- Apply software engineering practices including implementation, testing, debugging, code review, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to system design, low-level design, API design, and data modeling for mobile features and services.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to translate product and technical requirements into scalable Android solutions.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled capabilities safely within Android experiences and related workflows.
- Own mobile services and features across design, delivery, testing, operation, and maintenance.
- Support operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least four years of professional software development experience, including building and supporting Android applications.
- Proficiency in Android development, object-oriented design, debugging, automated testing, and version control.
- Experience with low-level system design, API integration, data modeling, and technical decisions in a multi-service product environment.
- Experience designing and operating Android applications at scale with attention to reliability, performance, security, and maintainability is preferred.
- Ability to lead architecture and implementation decisions for complex mobile features is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, AI/ML concepts, and integrating AI-enabled capabilities into Android experiences is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted development or testing workflows is preferred.
