Responsibilities
- Own the AI agenda and develop a roadmap of high-value initiatives with business leaders and subject matter experts.
- Design and build AI-powered applications from discovery and prototyping through full-scale deployment.
- Develop solutions using data analysis, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, advanced RAG, fine-tuning, and evaluation techniques.
- Partner with the central AI Hub to use shared platforms and reusable components, provide roadmap feedback, and contribute new reusable components.
- Mentor product engineers and serve as the senior AI expert for the business domain.
- Own projects from business case through delivery and handover, ensuring robust, scalable solutions with measurable business value.
Requirements
- Extensive AI/ML experience, exemplified by 8+ years.
- Deep hands-on experience building and shipping LLM applications, including advanced RAG architectures, agentic systems, fine-tuning, and robust evaluation.
- Expert-level Python skills and a strong foundation in classical machine learning and deep learning; PyTorch is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases, containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud AI services.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into technical requirements and impactful AI products.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with business leaders, product managers, and technology teams.
- German language skills are advantageous but not required.
