Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop horizontally scalable, containerized, fault-tolerant services on Kubernetes.
- Improve system performance for low-latency and high-throughput use cases and optimize low-level systems.
- Contribute to relevant open-source cloud-native projects.
- Develop observability architectures for collecting, analyzing, and reporting metrics across platform services.
- Collaborate with globally distributed product management and backend development teams.
- Contribute to technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and product launch.
- Review code and design documents, provide feedback on product specifications and mocks, and maintain documentation.
- Participate in technology selection and process definition to keep the technology stack current.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience developing maintainable, modular, resilient, fail-safe, and durable code in a product development company.
- Strong programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms knowledge.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience building applications with Go and Python.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of datacenter computing, storage, networking, distributed computing, and storage architectures.
- Familiarity with on-premises, cloud, and hybrid software deployment architectures.
- Experience designing and tuning high-performance system software.
- Knowledge of operating-system internals, virtualization, application performance monitoring, compute, storage, and networking management.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch is preferred.
- Experience with hardware accelerators such as GPUs is preferred.
- Experience with large codebases, open-source contributions, or multi-tenant services on virtualized infrastructure is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Strong focus on quality, design, user experience, reliability, communication, and problem-solving.
