Responsibilities

  • Build and operate core messaging capabilities on Apache Pulsar and related technologies.
  • Develop C++ internal products and shared libraries focused on performance, resilience, and clean interfaces.
  • Design cross-language integrations, versioned APIs, SDKs, and schema governance using technologies such as AsyncAPI, OpenAPI, Avro, and Protobuf.
  • Improve Linux development and operations workflows, including builds, packaging, containerization, and performance tuning.
  • Automate deployments and releases using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Provide timely support for production issues.
  • Document designs, review code, mentor peers, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience building backend or platform software with modern C++ including C++17 or above.
  • Experience building services with messaging or streaming systems such as Apache Pulsar, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of concurrency, networking, memory, performance, pub/sub, partitions, ordering, idempotency, and delivery semantics.
  • Experience working across C++, Java, Go, and Node.js and designing cross-language APIs or SDKs.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting proficiency with Bash or Python.
  • Experience with CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and secure deployment practices.
  • Ability to drive work from design through production with clear communication and ownership.
