Base Salary
$120k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to backend services that enhance the data platform’s capabilities.
- Enable DIY workflows for teams across the company by defining and publishing events and schemas.
- Create and consume streams and subscriptions.
- Establish access models and manage dataset/catalog metadata.
- Contribute to end-to-end data products from ingestion to adoption.
- Work on prompt categorization and enrichment services.
- Learn to own reliability aspects such as SLOs and incident response.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define contracts and deliver platform primitives.
Requirements
- 0–4 years of experience building production or project-based backend systems.
- Solid fundamentals in at least one backend language and exposure to API design.
- Eagerness to own work end-to-end, including design, implementation, and testing.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
- Basic data modeling and SQL skills, with familiarity in streaming/eventing or workflow/compute technologies.
- Curiosity about AI/LLMs and their application in software development.
