Responsibilities
- Own AI automation use cases from customer discovery and requirements scoping through production deployment.
- Translate ambiguous enterprise customer problems into scoped, buildable solutions and ship them quickly.
- Build applied AI solutions using LLMs, agentic workflows, vision models, and embeddings.
- Design data pipelines for document ingestion, extraction, validation, and orchestration.
- Identify recurring project patterns and turn them into reusable, scalable templates.
- Balance speed, accuracy, and human-in-the-loop processes.
- Gather requirements directly from German-speaking enterprise stakeholders and visit customer sites.
- Help shape the technical direction of the product and company as a founding-team engineer.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a software engineer or data scientist building production systems.
- Hands-on production experience deploying applied AI solutions involving LLMs, agentic workflows, vision models, and embeddings.
- Strong computer science fundamentals gained through a degree or clearly equivalent formal grounding.
- Full-stack experience with backend API development in Node.js/TypeScript or Python and frontend development in TypeScript/React or similar.
- Experience designing document-processing data pipelines for extraction and validation from unstructured PDFs, images, and documents.
- Experience with vector databases, semantic search, or domain ontologies.
- Experience integrating multiple LLM providers such as OpenAI, Azure, Gemini, or Cohere and writing effective prompts.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end from requirements gathering through deployment.
- B2B experience with enterprise stakeholders and experience in early-stage startups or founding teams.
- C1-level German proficiency or above.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work fully on-site in Berlin five days per week.
