Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and customers to understand challenges and design effective solutions.
- Measure, inspect, and use data to drive engineering decisions.
- Design, test, code, and instrument new software solutions.
- Improve engineering processes and apply test-driven, behavior-driven, microservice, and vertical slice practices.
- Support live applications through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Mentor peers, foster continuous learning, and develop subject-matter expertise.
- Independently complete work, take ownership, and proactively review solutions with others.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong proficiency in Angular and/or React.
- Experience building and consuming APIs and writing comprehensive unit tests and test suites.
- Understanding of software security principles and OWASP guidelines.
- Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and delivering complex projects on schedule.
- Experience writing performant stored procedures and functions.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications and services.
- Knowledge of C#, Docker, modern relational databases, ASP.NET API design, Kafka, and modern web UI frameworks.
- Willingness to learn or work with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, NoSQL databases, GraphQL, and Azure.
