Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and evolve architectural vision across multiple delivery teams.
- Drive solution design from discovery through delivery, including epics, assumptions, risks, and target architecture.
- Partner with engineering, product, and agile leaders to prioritize architectural investments and balance delivery with platform health.
- Identify and reduce technical debt in deal initiation and legacy dealer workflow integrations.
- Champion Cox Automotive’s Common tenancy and user management platforms and AWS-native patterns.
- Identify and promote generative AI use cases aligned with the Retail Agentic Platform.
- Create and maintain roadmaps, decision records, solution diagrams, and integration models.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and Gen AI tooling for deal initiation and structuring use cases.
- Establish API governance, contract management, standards, platform reuse, and shared capabilities across delivery teams.
- Influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and improve architectural maturity across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of related experience, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with 4 years, a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 18 years of related experience.
- Experience aligning diverse stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, and driving consensus across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Strong analytical ability with technical depth for proof-of-concepts and experimentation.
- Broad architectural knowledge across application, integration, and platform domains.
- Extensive application architecture and API delivery experience at scale, including GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
- Significant experience delivering applications and architecture services in production across the full development lifecycle.
- Experience architecting and delivering public-cloud solutions, preferably with AWS.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, autonomous agents, vector databases, model selection, agent-based architecture, data pipelines, and AI-assisted development lifecycles.
- Experience in DevOps cultures with process improvement, automation, and continuous delivery.
- Strong proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and graph datastores.
- Software development experience with Python, Node.js, Java, Scala, C#, or other languages.
- Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, API governance, and platform reuse.
- Ability to influence without authority, mentor engineers, and elevate architectural maturity.
