Responsibilities
- Design and implement BIAN APIs and specifications.
- Lead API and Cloud Engineering teams and provide technical leadership to engineers.
- Own and govern solution designs across business case, ideation, discovery, inception, and enhancement phases.
- Design and implement robust, production-supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines covering code build, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with solution architects, functional SMEs, upstream and downstream systems, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical management.
- Develop target-state architectures and communicate their features and benefits.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for core product systems and data.
- Lead capabilities involving development, build, test automation, deployment, monitoring, logging, service management, and orchestration.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience building REST APIs and deploying applications to web servers, preferably WebSphere.
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Experience implementing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, IAM roles and policies, Elastic Beanstalk, Fargate, VPCs, subnets, route tables, and load balancers.
- Expertise in Java, AWS services, Spring, Hibernate, and Kotlin.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Snyk, Docker, Kubernetes, and Gradle or Maven.
- Experience using AI tools and approaches to automate engineering tasks, including Claude, Gemini, Roo, Cline CLI, MCP servers and clients, and RAG architecture.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, ObserveInc, and Obstack.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, software implementation best practices, and object-oriented design principles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Ability to lead and influence technical teams, business partners, peers, vendors, and stakeholders.
