Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and design Cloudflare One architectures addressing customer security, connectivity, and business requirements.
- Guide opportunities through solution design, demonstrations, technical evaluations, proofs of value, success-criteria management, and technical close.
- Advise customers on Zero Trust capabilities including identity-aware access, secure web gateway, data protection, SaaS security, browser isolation, device posture, and secure connectivity.
- Design WAN transformation solutions connecting users, offices, data centers, and cloud environments.
- Develop expertise in AI adoption, Shadow AI, sensitive-data exposure, AI application access, MCP server controls, and agentic AI governance.
- Use AI tools, scripting, APIs, and lightweight automation to improve research, demonstrations, evaluations, reporting, and field activities.
- Partner with Sales on account strategy, pipeline development, revenue goals, and technical next steps.
- Create reusable architectures, demonstrations, proof-of-value patterns, and technical guidance while coaching peers and partners.
- Capture customer feedback and product gaps for Product and Engineering, and coordinate with Sales, Support, Product, Engineering, and customer teams.
- Own presales evaluation outcomes through technical close and coordinate handoff to Customer Success, Professional Services, Support, or implementation teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Systems Engineering, technical sales, consulting, or enterprise architecture.
- Meaningful customer-facing experience designing, demonstrating, evaluating, or implementing Zero Trust solutions.
- Practical understanding of Zero Trust and SASE architectures across identity, endpoint, network, application, data, and SaaS security.
- Practical enterprise networking and WAN experience including routing, subnetting, VPNs, SD-WAN, hybrid connectivity, cloud networking, or network transformation.
- Active professional use of AI tools and demonstrated commitment to understanding AI platforms, AI-enabled threats, data exposure, and governance.
- Experience integrating enterprise security solutions with identity providers, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, public cloud environments, APIs, or SIEM and log-analytics platforms.
- Proven ownership of technical evaluations or proofs of value from discovery and architecture through success criteria, deployment dependencies, stakeholder communication, decision management, and technical close.
- Strong written, presentation, and demonstration skills for practitioner, architect, and executive audiences.
- Ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, Support, partners, and customer teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Preferred qualifications include Cloudflare One experience, email security, Microsoft 365 or Exchange, Google Workspace, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, advanced networking, AI security or governance, scripting, APIs, automation, partner enablement, and relevant security, networking, cloud, or AI certifications or equivalent expertise.
