Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic direction and technology roadmaps for network automation services.
- Design end-to-end solutions using modern technologies and software engineering best practices.
- Deliver software hands-on, including refactoring legacy products and shipping features and fixes.
- Build backlogs and provide Scrum leadership for automation solution development.
- Act as the principal gatekeeper for technology, design, and code review sign-off.
- Mentor engineers and serve as a technical resource across Scrum teams.
- Contribute to software architecture and implementation handoffs.
- Create and deliver network automation solutions while using agentic tools to accelerate software delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing and deploying modern software development methodologies at scale.
- Extensive experience with Java 8+ and ideally Java 17+, REST API best practices, and SQL optimization.
- Extensive experience with modern version control systems, including Git or JJ.
- Demonstrable experience with Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience using agentic code harnesses for requirements planning, code generation, quality gates, and software delivery.
- Experience contributing to and delivering software architectures.
- Experience with automated testing methodologies such as Pact, TDD, and BDD, plus CI/CD pipelines.
- Some experience with legacy web application frameworks such as Zk or Django.
- Some experience creating and delivering network automations.
- Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
