Base Salary
$197k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship end-to-end services, integrations, internal tooling, voice agents, and prompt-engineering solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain production-scale integrations with customer systems such as point-of-sale, loyalty, payment gateways, and customer data platforms.
- Work regularly on site with customer technical and business teams as an embedded technical partner.
- Monitor, debug, and optimize production systems, including challenging audio environments.
- Collaborate with research and product teams to extend the platform and feed field learnings into product development.
- Test changes against live production data and measure accuracy, latency, and throughput.
- Support solution scoping, statements of work, expansion opportunities, product feedback, reusable solutions, automation, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or a record of building that demonstrates equivalent capability.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying backend systems used in production through internships, co-ops, industry work, or projects shipped to live users.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and API design.
- Ability to recognize problems proactively and care about the impact of delivered work.
- Strong relationship-building, meeting-awareness, initiative, and coachability for customer-facing work.
Benefits
- Regular customer travel and on-site work are required, at least once or twice per month and potentially up to 80% during some engagements.
- The role includes accelerated Forward-Deployed onboarding, senior-engineer work review, and a defined 30-, 60-, and 90-day ramp.
- Engineers are deployed to one dedicated strategic account at a time and grow within Applied Engineering’s Associate-to-Principal ladder.
