Responsibilities
- Serve as the final technical escalation point for complex, high-ambiguity customer and partner problems.
- Set technical strategy and standards for the Solutions Engineering function.
- Design and build deep API and OAuth-based integrations and customizations for high-value enterprise and partner accounts.
- Connect engineering and platform teams with go-to-market teams to ensure committed integrations ship.
- Create reusable integration patterns and tooling from bespoke customer solutions.
- Influence Product and Engineering roadmaps through cross-account technical pattern recognition.
- Mentor Solutions Engineers and set the technical bar for autonomous technical decision-making.
- Represent Solutions Engineering in cross-functional and executive conversations.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of relevant experience, including significant senior technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or implementation leadership experience.
- Experience independently solving complex, high-stakes technical problems without an established playbook.
- Ability to communicate credibly with engineers and executives and translate between technical and business contexts.
- Experience setting technical direction or standards across a team or function.
- Experience influencing Product and Engineering roadmaps through structured technical feedback and pattern recognition.
- Deep familiarity with Salesforce/CRM, API and integration architecture, OAuth/token-based authorization flows, and payroll, tax, and compliance systems.
- Payroll Certification is a bonus qualification.
- Prior Staff- or Principal-level technical pre-sales or solutions architecture experience is a bonus.
- Experience launching a new technical program or capability and mentoring senior technical individual contributors is preferred.

- The role targets $150,000–$185,000 in OTE cash compensation in Denver and most remote locations.
- Employees in Denver, San Francisco, and New York offices generally work onsite approximately 2–3 days per week or more depending on the role.

- Regular and predictable attendance is expected for in-office, hybrid, and fully remote employees.
